Windows recognizes that I've plugged my ipod in and I can browse the files using explorer. iTunes also recognizes my ipod, but it doesn't see any of the music I have on there. It sees that I have most of the space filled up, but it tries to update and find out that it doesn't have enough space.
A few days ago, i tried to update and itunes said that it couldn't communicate with the ipod because of some kind of corrupted file. The next time I opened itunes it prompted me to rename my ipod and told me there was nothing on there. I don't want to reset it because there is a bunch of stuff on there that I deleted off the computer and it would be very time consuming to find what I do and don't have.
So, does anyone know of a fix to this? Maybe a file I should copy onto the ipod? Thanks.
Almost forgot - the ipod itself doesn't know what's on there. Its almost like when you reinstall your OS - your program files are still there but windows doesn't know you have them.
