I just purchased the UE super.fi 3. Using it with a 60gig 5G, they sound good but I hear alot of static when music is not playing. It seams to go away when music plays (or I just can't hear it anymore). I don't hear static with the stock ear buds. Is this normal?

It's apparently "normal" with the 5G...much to my disgust. The noise will also show up on softer classical pieces. I don't get it using my 5 Pro's with a Rio Carbon or iRiver H120. So I can't blame UE.
Sent my 30GB G5 back to Apple and they emailed me that they found no defects with the unit. This will be my first and last iPod!

Dude...its just a little static due to the high sensitivity of the phones...Hardly an attrabute that would prevent me from getting an iPod...

Creative vision:m doesn't have static w/UE's.
i think it's normal, i also have a 5g ipod and ue3's and hear the annoying static.
