blank screen

i would like the ability to turn off the screen while listening... this would have to improve battery life quite a bit. why have the screen display on while the thing is in my pocket?

maybe turning off the display when ever the ipod is on hold?

I like the sound of it and I'm sure apple would if it improved on their claimed battery life.

Don't think so......but if apple did this, i think there should be an option to use it or not....some ppl like taking their ipod out of their pockets to see wat songs are on.......yet another reason for apple to make a LCD remote.....ha ha....
