So I bought a used ipod (second generation I think, 20GB, click wheel) and I'm wondering if the problems that I'm having with it are something that I can fix or if they are just something I have to deal with since I didn't buy it new.
When I try to put songs via itunes, I get error messages after anywhere between 0 and 250ish songs have been put on it. Sometimes I get a message that says something about a writing failure and it causes the ipod to freeze up. More recently I've gotten a message that reads "Attempting to copy to disk 'IPOD' failed. An unknown error occurred. (-69)" but this message hasn't frozen the ipod, it simply ejects it.
I'm running on Windows XP and I've tried uninstalling both iTunes and the iPod software and then reinstalling them which is when the new error message has started popping up without the freezing.
Does anyone have any suggestions short of sending the iPod to Apple for repair?
