I'm having a constant battle with iTunes over the naming of my files.
In the Name column in iTunes, it uses the name of the file, not the name of the song.
For example, I have the song Caught Up In You by 38 Special. It shows up as "38 Special - Caught Up In You" in the Name column. It actually should say just "Caught Up In You", since that is the name of the song.
If I double click on it, it plays fine and then corrects itself to just "Caught Up In You". But this is constantly happening. I don't know what causes it, or how to prevent it. The only way I know how to fix it is to double click on the tracks in iTunes, but since I have over 3,000 it takes a while and it changes itself back later.
This doesn't happen for every song, just some of them. I'm at a loss as the why this is happening or how to prevent it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm at wits end.
