Planning on getting myself a shure e2c, but still using the apple in-ears atm.

So I was wondering, you're at a mall listening to music, but you meet up with some friends. So where does your headphones go when you're not listening to them? Putting it in the pocket seems dangerous, leaving them dangling on your neck lets the wire fall down, and putting it behind the neck and down the other side (what i do now) isnt really convienant...

How do you people manage your expensive headphones?

The Panasonic HJE70's earbuds clip together, solving the problem very neatly.

i run the cord down my back...usually between a shirt and undershirt so it doesn't itch me...when i take them off i just tuck my earbuds inbetween the shirts in front of me. works well for my 6i's

That's a pretty clean solution, actually.

I just got some super.fi 5 pros and found the metal case difficult to open, bulky and because of the way the case is designed it requires some fitting to get them placed properly before closing the lid. I got myself a tin of Rasperry Altoid Sours and while I can't say much about the cord management, the accessibility is much better than the stock case.

ooh, nice one.

I just tried it and Im having problems sitting down... the cord just isnt long enough to comfortably reach into my pockets, and if I plug it into the remote, its in an awkward position

I used the carrying case that came with e2c's for about 4 days. Since then, I've treated my them terribly. Pocket, backpack, floor of my car etc. Maybe I should show them a little more respect (damned expensive), but I really don't think they are all that fragile.

on my desk next to my ipod
they are relatively safe there, as long as i don't do anything stupid

i guess i should use the case, it looks really durable

I usually keep the E3c in the small carrying case that was provided. At school, though, I just put them into my sweatshirt's pocket. They are quite durable, so it's no big deal.

I used to use the case that came with my e2c, but then i lost them and have just been putting them in my pocket. Since their cord is thick, I don't have to worry about messing up my pair.

The Superfi.5 Pro's come with two cases. The metal one, (as mentioned above) which would be good if you were packin' the earphones in a soft suitcase or duffel bag but they also come with a nice leather case with a velcro flap that works very well in an upper shirt pocket for me.
