After purchasing my brand spanking new 5G ipod, I wanted to ensure that very little happens to it, so I wanted a case that can protect it. Like a Toughskin. However, there's a problem, I have an iHome unit that I use quite often.

So, if there's a happy medium between finding a casing that will protect my pricey investment and yet, is easy to put in and remove so I won't have wasted 90 dollars to get the iHome, I would definately appreciate any sort of tips the good folks of this forum could give me.

Thanks in advance.

I would suggest going with an Agent 18 shield.

I used the Agent 18 shield for my ipod mini and protected it very well. I also plan on getting the shield when i get my video. It is easy to remove when you want to use your iHome. For my mini, i actually didnt have to remove the shield. I just took out the insert and it stayed in fine. Im not sure if this is possible for the video. Hope that helped!

Oh, I also forgot to mention that this is the 60 Gig variety, since I've found out that it's dimensions are different than the 30 gig version, I wonder if it'll make all the difference in the world.
