Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. I actually put this problem up on my blog page. I have a NEW issue with iTunes which suddenly occured to me. I tried reinstalling/repairing the installation process but to no avail...

I keep getting the main FONTS of itunes in the form of squares. I don't know what's going on and I don't know how to rectify it...

The snapshot of the problem is located here ..

That is weird. I've got the same problem in the name of the song on SOME but not all songs. THose same songs DO show up correctly on my iPod (but in a MUCH LARGER FONT). I've tried changin them in itunes, but no matter what I type, I always see the same squares. Even if I cut and paste. When I 'enter' the squares re-appear.

Anyway, this doesn't help your menu problem, but at least you know that despite the different problems, you're not alone with the squares.......

Oh, one thought, is this problem just with itunes or is it all your windows? If it's all, you can change the fonts if you right click your desktop, choose 'properties', then choose 'appearance'. From there you click on the picture where the words are "Normal" in "Active Window". (this is actually "Menu" in the drop down box). You can then select the font that is displayed there.

If your problem is just in itunes, then I don't know what to do, otherwise, hopefully that will help.

Unforetunately, this problem only affects my iTunes. The menus... drop down and right click menu's are all affected. Helpppppp

Hey, I got an idea (derived from my fix of my font issue). My issue was that the songs that showed up on my ipod but were all 'squared letters' in iTunes were from an old Mac. The font was a mac font not readable in Windows (but the iPod reads it fine - just bigger). So I thought maybe you've got a font that Windows can't read, so I'm thinking maybe you changed your "language" for iTunes. I checked my iTunes and it says you can change the language (instructions attached as you won't likely be able to read your menu....)

Changing the language for iTunes
You can change the language shown in iTunes menus and dialogs.

Choose Edit > Preferences and click the General tab.
Choose a language from the Language pop-up menu.
Exit and reopen iTunes.

(FYI - Edit is the Second menu item from the left, and Preferences is the LAST menu item of Edit. The Language choice is the drop down box at the bottom of the FIRST tab (General))

Hope that helps.

Well, if it helps "English - US" is the FIFTH item down on the drop down list.
