I ripped Crystal Method's album, Vegas, using EAC with LAME VBR. I noticed that, on my Nano, certain songs had strange distortions in certain songs. The distortions always happened at the same place with each listening. I thought the encoding may be off, so I check the version on my computer and discovered that the song was just fine. I erased everything on my Nano and then reloaded the songs in question and discovered that they now played flawlessly. Has anyone else encountered this? Is there an explanation? I just bought the Nano and I'm wondering if the solid state "material" needs to be broken in? Or perhaps there are just general transfer errors that arise from time to time when transfering data to the Nano. Would anyone like to take a stab at this???
