iTunes library got deleted.

I had iTunes 4 and had some problem with it (it wouldn't run) so we upgraded to iTunes 6 and everything seemed to work fine. I synched it and the library was there

Now today we started up iTunes 6 and the library, playlist, ratings, and everything is gone. The music files are still there and are fine, but the iTunes library data about them is gone.

I haven't synched up my iPod mini yet, but I would like to keep the music I have add new music without losing my ratings and playlists. Is there any way that can be done? I realize I can re-create the library with the music files but I lose all the other stuff I spent a lot of time setting up.

Just found out--my husband inadvertently moved my iTunes library files when copying other stuff from "My Music." We moved them back and the playlists are restored.
