I've seen a variety of posts with good and bad experiences with the various FM transmitters available for the iPod. I want to try one, mostly for car use but also perhaps to do double duty and broadcast to my receiver.

Which model do you recommend? Why? Thanks for helping me get all the information together to analyze!

I voted for the iTrip with a little side-note. I live in Milwaukee, WI right now and I find it horribly difficult to find an open station while driving. When I do find an open station out of the city (cuz I live in a suburb) it is horrible once I drive into the city and likewise in the other direction.

At home it works beautifully though playing on an open frequency on my home stereo system. Then on occasion I'll walk into another room to do something and just pop a radio on in that room.

So it is good, but still suffers from interference like many FM transmitters. Can't wait until I move away to a smaller city!

Good info. Hey - ever drive to Madison with your iTrip? That's where I am, it would be great to hear how it worked for you here if you've tried it.

Thanks!
