hot pixel, now gone...?

i just bought a 60gb iPod 5th gen... as soon as i turned it on, i noticed a white pixel against a black background... i installed iTunes in my computer... restarted the computer and when i connected the iPod, it asked me if i want to upgrade the software that was in the iPod... i selected upgrade... right after the upgrade, the hot pixel was gone... is it possible that the software upgrade fixed this...?

there has been no known way to fix dead pixels, i guess this was one of those one in a life time things that happen. it's unlikely that anything like this would work.
