A question

So, I just wanted to know if there's any way to keep my files on my ipod and delete them from my computer...but, I gotta be able to keep using my itunes, I wanna delete the music in my computer so I can add more,you know, it's not like all the space in my computer is destinated for my ipod... cuz when i do that the songs i deleted on my computer are deleted on my ipod too...

I'm not sure why that's happened?

I've deleted files before songs and videos from my computer, but I have kept them in iTunes and I have not lost them off of my iPod.

a movie and three songs that I have deleted off of my computer by accident have remained safely in my iPod even after autosync it just tells you it can't update that one file and you continue and it's np, lol.

this is just my experience

you might want to try it with a song, but I never did anything special at all..
