Solution found to Agent18 scratching

I got my Agent18 today and I noticed there was already some kind of plastic film (similar to IS/BSE) that stuck to the screen and back (over apple logo). I read about all the scratching problems, so what I did was I cut the plastic films to exactly fit the screen (took a while but I'm a patient person) and back part of the case (Apple logo) and I just stuck them on with the water/soap technique. Worked just like the BSE and there are no air bubbles present. You could also do it w/o the water/soap technique but you might get air bubbles. Anyway, just giving some advice to help the scratching. Let me get this right: the Agent18 comes with a piece of plastic film that you can use to protect the screen area of the Agent18 case?

That's what it sounds like you're saying. And you attached this plastic film using a water/soap solution?

Please correct me if I am wrong. I've been thinking about purchasing the Agent18 or the iSee for my 5G 30GB.

so i read your other forum. and i was wondering if your agent18 works with your BSE. i've been wondering htis a while and even asked the question but no one replied to it. and they've said it doesn't work for other cases but not exactly with the agent18.

Yes, the Agent18 comes with a plastic film that you can attach using soap/water.

It DOES NOT fit with the BSE... I bought both and assumed it'd fit... didn't. Now I have to sell my Agent18 to someone and get a leather case or something else.

so you're saying that if i get an agent18, i'll get a full body ipod skin, that i attach to it using soap and water?

I recently bought an Agent18, BSE, and an Altec Lansing IM7.

The Agent18 would not fit over the BSE, and neither would fit into the IM7.

However, after applying the BSE as per the instructions and letting it set for a day or so, I took a razor (sounds crazy, I know) and lightly ran it down each side of my ipod and removed that strip of the BSE. Now the Agent18 WILL fit over the BSE (there's some slight "wet spots" because everything is fairly tight, but it's not a big deal) and the ipod with the BSE WILL now fit into the IM7.

There isn't a single mark on the ipod from taking a razor to it, but if anyone is nervous about it you could cut the side flaps off of the BSE before pressing them onto the sides of the ipod, or cut them off while the adhesive is still on its backing. Hope that helps.

i have the invisibleshield and the agent18. if i put the agent18 on my ipod and close it right side then left side (as you look at the ipod) it won't stay closed. but if i reverse the order (left side then right side) it clicks shut with a little squeezing. i also get the wet-looking spots on the front, my my ipod is 100% safe. no dent or damage from impacts or being carried in my pocket, and no scratches from dust getting under the agent 18.

no i'm asking if the agent18 includes a skin as how the other guy explained it.

I just received my 60 GB Agent 18 case today. There was a small piece of plastic covering the rectangular clear area in the middle of the back of the case, but there was no film included to cover the front screen.

Yeah I got my Agent 18 today, I get what your talking about with the plastic but I don't think your supposed to use it. Nowhere in the instructions they gave you do they say to apply it, I think it was just in the packaging so the case doesnt get scratched when its on shelves.

No.. The cover that he is talking about is just like a screen protector.. You know like when you get a new cell phone and there is that piece of plastic that covers that screen.. Thats all it is. It is not a pull iPod cover. Hope I cleared that up.

Wait a sec...I have the MF protector in addition to the Agent18. Can someone tell me how to do the soap water solution to get rid of these ugly bubbles??
