Hello, anybody help! Brand new 30GB 5G ipod. Initially charged ok with an AC adapter. Turned it off and didn t touch it for a couple of days.
Now it won t turn on.
Tried charging it again and I got the Apple symbol then a battery charge signal (don t remember which one, the Lightning bolt and battery or the battery and exclamation point) then it clicked (like the HDD booting)and looped back into the Apple symbol to repeat the whole process. This happened as soon i plugged it into the AC charger.
So i let it sit for 24 hrs to fully drain the bateery as reccomended by Apples web site.
Now I plug into the AC charger and it immediateky gives the quarter bar lighting bolt icon in the center of the screen and alternates to the the smaller exclamation point battery icon.
It flashes back and forth between both symbols!
I tried resetting it...didn t work
Its been plugged for about two hours and I get the same display alternating between the two symbols.
I haven t even used this thing yet and seems like a $300.00 pc of junk
If anybody can help, I would appreciate it!
I'd hate to send this thing back, when it could be some stupid silly thing
