I just got a new computer. I had iTunes on my old one, and that's the library I used to update my iPod. On the new comp, I downloaded iTunes and now I want to put all the songs from my iPod onto my computer, is this possible? It asked if I wanted to change the link from my iPod to my old library to a link with this new one and replace all the songs on my iPod with this new library, and I clicked No because there are no songs in the new library.

I have the same proble. My pc died and i had to format. I installed iTunes again and knew that if i connect the ipod to the pc ALL my songs will be deleted, because "songs on ipod are being updated". I have 5gig if music legally own. I dont want it all deleted.

So i followed an advice from a friend to copy the wird hidden files in the "Music" folder on the ipod and add them to itunes.

I did that BUT THEY ARE NOT MP3s as they were before, and they are grouped in a wierd way (there are like 1000 files named with 4 random lettters).

This is totally driving me crazy!!!!!! Is all my music eternally lost??? How the hell do i add music to my ipod and how do i take it out of it if my pc is gone!?!?!??!?

Please give me an advice on this!
