Ok so i've had my iPod since the summer and my headphones have begun to break. I got a 3rd gen iPod so people with 3rd gens will know what i'm talking about when i describe it.
You know where the 2 wires leading from the ear buds in the little plastic V shaped thing, which then goes into one wire. Well the plastic casing on one wire has come out of the triangle exposing the wire. Diagram:
|| < wire has come lose out of v shaped plastic thingy
V < V shaped plastic thingy
| < wire that leads to jack
I want to know whats the best way to contact apple about this.
I bought my iPod on holiday in Singapore, I live in the UK, so do i go through UK channels or Singaporean channels. Also is apple likely to replace the headphones at no cost. I currently use B&O headphones anyway, but its under warrenty and if i ever want to trade in or sell its gonna be a good idea to have a pristeen set of headphones.
