I did some searching for this, but could really only find info about the cassette adapter popping out (which was actually also useful). My parents got my little sister a Monster iCarPlay cassette adapter for Christmas and she is having a problem where she had it plugged into her car's cassette deck and her iPod Mini, but she has to turn the car's volume and the iPod's volume all the way up to even get slight sound out of the speakers. It is also really noisy and you can hear a physical noise from the cassette player itself. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I bought a Monster cassette adaptor and had no problems with the music volume. I did, however, have the same problem you described with the noice from the cassette adaptor itself. So much so that I threw it out and bought a generic brand. I still haven't found one that I'm happy with yet. I tried a Smartdeck from Griffin Technologies but it didn't work.

I had the same problem with the cassette being way too noisy. I took it back and got the Sony one. It runs so well you dont even know that the cassette deck is running and so far the sound has been great.
Its about $20 at best buy, or only $10 on amazon.
