Hi, I just installed an BlitzSafe Universal iPod Interface in my car and i am getting a lot of noise that is definatly isnt supposed to be there. The sound of the hard drive is getting broadcast through the speakers of my car as well as a click noise (even witht he ipod clicking sound off) that only gets worse when i use the touch wheel and strangly enough there is also a beep in the background that beeps to the battery icon blinking.

Ive never got anykind of hdd or anykind of unusual noise with normal headphone use so i dont know what is going on. Maybe its a problem with the universal ipod interface or perhaps even the ipod, maybe there is something wrong with the docking port or something. Otherwise im out of ideas. So if anyone has had any similar problems or can help me in anyway i would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

Some MP3 players have the HDD sound.

Sorry, forgot to tell that I can't hear the HDD sound thru the headphones, but I can hear it when I connect it to the speakers. Everything that matters is how loud the speakers are.

The louder the speakers - greater the amplitude of sound - amplitude with frequency let you hear the sounds you previously haven't heard.

Even though I don't have an iPod, my MP3 player makes these sounds on speakers, so must be your iPod.

It's probably ground loop interference. Something to do with your connection maybe. Is your mp3 player connected to a charger when playing or not? Look up ground loop interference on google and you'll find more information on it.

Had same problem, groundloop isolator ($15, Radioshack) fixed it PERFECTLY with no loss in sound quality!
