Need some help with RoadTrip

hi there,

i just baught the ipod video and i got the roadtrip to go along with it.

now the thing works fine, and charges the ipod in the car also, what i wanted to ask is : is there anyway to use roadtrip without charging the ipod at the same time?


if there isnt .... is it bad for the ipod to be charging constently in the car while im listening to music?
