** I've searched but haven't really found a definitive anwser...please help.

Hello all. I have a 2004 Tacoma and a 2gb iPod Nano. I'm looking at my options as far as integrating it into my truck's stock head unit (Toyota AM/FM/tape/CD).

I've pretty much narrowed it down to the P.I.E Toy-Aux adapter and the USA Spec adapter. I used the newer PIE unit on our 2005 Sienna to hook up the DVD. It worked fine, only complaint was low volume. When watching the DVD you gotta crank the volume up a good bit.

My questions:

1 - Does anyone know if I might/will have the low volume problem with the Toy-Aux in my 2004? The Sienna took the newer Toy03-aux, don't know if the problem is isolated to those newer units or not.

2 - Using one of these adapters, how is the iPod controlled? Do you select the songs and what not by the iPod or the stock head unit?

3 - Do these units charge the iPod as well or do I need something seperate?

4 - Looking for a good mount for the iPod itself. Want a nice looking, clean install...but removable.

Thanks in advance.
