I just got a 2006 Corolla S and I was trying to find out where others have mounted their iPod into their Corollas? I was sitting in my car today and I was trying to find convenient locations for where I could mount it, but I couldnt really find any location that looked good and had good functionality. Im going to use the USA Spec adapter if that helps, but I plan on installing that under the seat or behind the dash. Im going to tuck all the wires as best as possible. My main concern is where I can mount or dock it. Any one have pics of where they mounted theirs? The interior of the Corolla is the same for all years 2003 and up, so if you have any suggestions or pictures of an install on those years, that would be great. Thanks in advanced.

i have a 2004 Corolla S, and will be installing the NEO ion in my car (because i wanted something that goes directly into the stereo inputs--i did NOT want to deal with an FM transmitter. the NEO ion also charges the iPod). i use my Nano a LOT, so i'm not permanently installing the iPod into my car, but when it is in there, it will probably be in my cellphone holder.
i bought a cheap cellphone holder that sticks to the exterior of the dashboard (where the cassette player WOULD BE--i don't have a cassette player as part of the factory stereo, but it would be below the CD player). the cellphone holder is adjustable by size, and lined in foam so it won't hurt my Nano in its case.
i'm figuring i'll have 1 wire coming out of the glovebox, to hook my Nano up to, so it won't be a big mess. after i have it set up (within a week), i'll have to post a photo or 2.

That sounds great. Yeah, I have two iPods so I plan on having one permanently in the car and one for regular use. So Im looking for a semi-permanent solution. But the idea of a cell phone holder would be good. I want it to be a grab and go thing, the way the regular iPod dock works. So i dont have to detatch any cabling, I can just pick up the ipod and its then free from the car, without having to unplug it first. I might mount the dock to a cell phone holder and then mount the cell phone holder to the car. I'm just trying to see what others have done.
