iPod Recover?

Hiya all!! I have these ipod photo with most off my music on it. The problem is that I cant get access to it, the strange thing is that the iPod Updater can read it.. I try'd resetting of both devices, i try'd disk mode but I can't get access to my files and also itunes doesn't reconize it, also windows ask's me to format the ipod because he cannot read it..

is there any change to get my music on my hard drive again? and if how?
