I bought my iPod (30 GB Video) while visiting family in Florida (I'm in Virginia) and installed iTunes there, so I would be able to use my iPod on the trip back (I removed it before I left). Now I'm trying to install iTunes on my computer in Virginia and when I click the icon it says it has "encountered an error and needs to close." The description of the error says it has problems with product ID. What am I supposed to do to install iTunes when the iPod serial number has already been used to install iTunes elsewhere? I can't even open iTunes, so I can't restore the iPod, right?
And yes, I've browsed the forum to try to find a similar topic. Maybe it's just my lack of understanding of the iPod language, being a new user, but I couldn't find anything that resembled my problem. So if anybody posts a link, I will both be grateful and feel like an idiot for not seeing it before.
