iPod Video and Service Pack 2

Hi, I am thinking about getting an iPod Video, but I don't have Service Pack 2 installed on my Windows Xp Pro. I am unable to install it and I am wondering if you really need it. Thanks-

No. You don't need it. Plenty of people on iL are running SP1 with their ipods.

For some reason I can't install SP2 on my system either. My 60GB Video works fine :)
