Hi!

Just purchased myself a 60gb photo iPod, trying to install it on my home PC and laptop computer from work.

Unfortunately a problem occurs: the iPod isn't detected by my home PC (it does charge the battery though), but it's fully operational on the laptop computer.

Both computers carry Windows XP, latest updates installed, re-installed the latest iTunes software too. On the laptop I don't even have full administrator-rights, but I do on my home computer.

There's no problem with the USB connection as the home computer works fine with any other USB device. And oddly enough, some months ago I managed to get my colleague's iPod Shuffle working fine on my home PC. Apple's own "help" pages haven't been of much use unfortunately.

BIZARRE stuff. My idea is there might be something wrong or missing in the Windows configuration of my home computer?
Anyway, if anyone would have any idea on what the problem might be, it would be much appreciated!

thanks

have you had any luck with this? I am seeing the same problem on a computer, and I've tried everything. I see that in Device Manager, the iPod is recognized, but iTunes doesn't see it.
