iPod charger through firewire

When I connect my iPod to the USB port, it's charging.
But when I connect my iPod to the firewire port of my PC (4 pins) via a 6 to 4 pins firewire adapter, my iPod is discharging.
Is there an accessory which would enable me to be connected to the firewire port and being charged at the same time ?

Elementary.

A FW uses 4 pins for signal and 2 pins for power. A 4 pin FW port DOES NOT put out any power.

There is no magic, if u don't have a 6 pin FW port, yer SOL.
