Earphones?

Hi..I was just wondering if the more expencive earphones make much of a difference? The phones i got with my iPod dont fit very well and after a while i get sore ears. I would also like to know if the sound quality is much improved by the more you pay?

i've got the shure e3g and the sound quality is a whole lot better then the apple ones and there a lot more comfotable with the foam inserts :P

Wow, I cant justify spending $100 on earphones....especially since I lose most of mine :)
