Has anyone has any experience returning headphones after you have bought them and tried them out for a short while? I currently have the Sony EX-71s and while I like them, the sound isolation isn't quite qhat I want it to be. I'm thinking of springing for the Shure E3C's, but I'm a little worried that I might not hear ~$150 worth of difference. A store with a liberal return policy would be a big help in this regard.

all of the reputable online dealers offer fair and reasonable return policies. to make sure inquire before purchase. i guess these return policies are generated by the well known manufacturers who understand that their products are not suited for everyone. since there is no way to try them before purchase this is the next best way to fly.
