Battery will not charge 100%

Hey everyone. I just got a 30Gb 5th Generation Color/Video one for Christmas, and right out of the box it seems to have a problem.

Apparently, even though it claims that it fully charges the battery (shows me the "plug" sign), when I unplug it, the battery sign in the top right corner says that it's only charged up to about 80%. And after about an hour of playing it, I only have about 60% battery left. My sister has the same iPod as I do, but she does not have this problem.

What do you think it is? Do I have some option turned on in my iPod that immediately drains 20% of the battery? Is the battery signal itself just faulted? Or do I have a partially effective battery, and I should exchange it for another one?

yes you got it right. the battery meter is very innacurrate. no it will not effect the battery. another thing, you have to use your ipod a few times, before you get your full battery capacity. Just so it gets warmed up.

I had this problem too, glad I don't have a dudd battery.
