Quick question about importing music from Ipod to a new CPU

I just got a new computer and want to put all the songs from my Ipod onto the Itunes of my new computer. I am afraid that if I plug in my Ipod to my new cpu all of my existing songs will be erased due to the auto update feature. Is there a way to take songs currently on your Ipod and send them to a new Itunes??

Sure can...you can use the third party software that is continuously mentioned or just enable your iPod for disk usage, drag and drop all your songs into a folder in your new CPU then import them into iTunes.

Make sure you turn off the auto update feature in iTunes however before you do this
