When i attempt to plug my iPod in to be updated, the computer reads

'The software required for communicating with the Ipod is not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes to install the iPod's software'

I have done this, I have reinstalled iTunes about 5 times, and there is no change whatsoever, anyone know what could be wrong?

Which version of iTunes is it? Its a problem some people have with certain versions.

I am not sure, but is what you're saying to download the newest version? If so, where from?

You can download the latest version of iTunes here (http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/) and the latest updater here (http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/) .

The latest version might cure your problem. A lot of people, me included, had the problem you describe with iTunes 5, but I think some still have it with iTunes 6. 6 cured it for me, for most I think.

It's worth a try. Hope it works.
