Hi,

I'm looking for decent headphones without spednding more then 100USD. After doing some research and auditioning at local Cambridge soundworks I've arrived at 3 above mentioned models (Sennheiser PX100 V/S GRADO SR60 V/S KOSS PROTAPRO) . I was unable to test PCX 100 as it was not available in store. I found KOSS to be little bit bright (bass is louder) compared to Grado. I would like to get opinion of people using any of this 3 headphones. What is their impression about this 3 headphones ?

Im using since three weeks ago the Sennheiser PX200, and believe me, this headphones are the best headphones I have ever used. The quality sound is great. Furthermore, they block external sound which gives you more richness in the inside.

Good luck.

I love the Grado's, they have great sound.
However, they are open to outside sound...so they aren't great in loud environs. In one of the computer labs I run we just replaced all of the Grados because of all of the students could hear all of the other students music.
Also, I didn't find them comfortable after 2-3 hours...
Again, I like them, and use them at home where it is relatively quiet.

Between the Grado's and the Portapros, I'd pick the Grado's--I haven't heard the Senn's though. The Portapros are very good, but IMHO the Grado's win. Like tech said, they're open--they leak sound like crazy, but they sound oh so sweet. If you need a closed set of cans, don't pick the Grado's...
