Songs by same artist disappearing!

I just got a 30gb iPod and I'm having some teething problems. For example, I've got two Primal Scream songs listed separately in my iTunes library. I've transferred them both to my ipod but when I search in it under Artists, Primal Scream only appear once with one of the songs listed. Shouldn't it automatically list songs by the same artist together or can I do this automatically?
