hi guys, im just looking for some new headphones. looking to spend around a maximum of £25 (which is about $37.50). Was looking at both the Apple in-ear headphones and the Sony E17's. i decided that the Sony one's were the better choice, but i have one concern. everybody has talked about the wire's decaying and what not. is this still the case? or has the issue been dealt with with newer models of the headphone?
Thanks guys

Buy the Sony MDR-EX51LP, the wire isnt as long as the 71's. Their also cheaper, with exactly the same sound quality, the only diffrence is, the 71's have chrome on the side of the earphones, and the wire is much longer. (The wire is in 2 pieces, for the use of the Sony Remote)
I brought mine brand new off eBay for £14.49 (+ £6.99 P+P) in all white to match my iPod.
you can also get them from HERE (http://www.clicktocart.co.uk/shop/shop.php?c=viewproduct&pid=41) for £19.95 (not sure about P+P)

oh, thanks mate!!
One question though, do the 51's have the same issue as the 71's, with the wire falling apart?
Cause that is a big problem really, although im hearing the sound quality is very good for the price!

They are still decaying. I bought a pair of EX-71's about a month ago and the insulation is literally melting. I've use quite a bit of electrical tape to cover up the bare wire.
I love the way they sound but the material they used for the insulation is absolute crap.
