Consolidating Music Videos (please help)

I have a bunch of music videos lying around and with the included "videos" feature in iTunes 6, I thought it would be nice to be able to consolidate these mvs into iTunes so I can watch them from there.

I'm just wondering if there is a way to keep my high quality music videos in iTunes so I can watch them in a fairly large viewing window on my computer, but also be able to import them to my iPod without them taking up so much space due to the quality...

Does anyone have any ideas on what I should do?

Another question... Sometimes I have an .AVI file (high quality) around 40mbs and another one around the same quality thats up to 90mbs. Is there a way to control the size or something?? How can I maximize quality and minimize size?
