I just got a 15gb iPod and was wonder what case people think will be the best from experience with the previous models. I do not know if I want to go with a leather/neoprene or a transparent type. The leather/neoprene would be functional and look good but maybe the transparent type (either the DLO Grove Jacket or iSkin) might be better in that you can maybe use the dock and the Apple case, without taking it out, best of both worlds. Thoughts?
BTW-these iPods do scratch easy :( Got my 1st so I just put a PDA protector over the screen.

No comments? What cases are people thinking of getting for their new iPod?
i've been using saran wrap along with a small carrycase (came with my Kensington mouse purchase) to take my iPod around. Vaja cases look absolutely stunning, but out of my price range. I also like Waterfields (http://www.sfbags.com/") cases, but I'll wait a while to see more options.
I am still waiting for them to come out. I just got my 15gig too and one would think that some cases would be out now, I know theres one case out now but I don't like it.

I agree... I am waiting to see what things companies release... The iPods have only been out for a month, which is relatively a short time to have case companies produce cases (develop, R&D, production, retail, etc.)

I put a piece of shipping masking tape (clear) and I cannot tell it is there. It provides superior scratch protection and I peeled it off after having it there for a few months and there is no residue. Its great.

Heh, I'm using the film that ships on the PowerBook screens.
Has anyone used the DLO cases? They have ones out for the new ipods, and I want a case. The one thing I want the case to have is screen protection, and I am not sure from the pictures if it has screen protection. You can see them at http://www.everythingipod.com/

the leather version has screen protection for sure. It says so next to the photo.

it seems like from the pictures that the new leather ones (shipped starting june 9th) do not have an opening on bottom for charging or syncing in caseor car charging...unless my eyes deceive me...oh well...but they are nice cases in any event
