Next month i was going to buy a 60 GB 5th Gen IPOD. I love music so i want the large one. But i dont have a computer at home and the onyl way i can get music on is going to my friends house hit there hard drive up. So would you all still get one even though you did not have a computer?

Also when it comes to my friends computer they have hard drives full of music, what do i have to do to puy them on a ipod, do i have to in stall some program that will convert them??

Thanks in advance for the help, because i need it.

I recommend getting a cheap computer its kinda like having brand new chrome rims and no car.

I've got an idea...you could buy yourself an offboard storage device (Maxstor sell a good 80Gb piece of backup kit), install that on your friend's machine, and configure iTunes to recognise that as the library.

Then you simply rip your own CDs to the backup device, leaving your friend's PC clean.

The only problem I could see is if he/she already has iTunes installed and has configured it to point to a different directory as the library. Then I don't know whatcha gonna do.

The beauty of ripping your CDs to a backup drive is that when you come to buy your own PC, you can just plug it it, and copy the library to your new hard disk!
