I just tried my first pair of Shure 2c...and as soon as I put the left one in, I just felt sick. Never had that happen before....anyone else have that wierd reaction?

You may have had some reaction to the pressure/seal created by the Shure's. I know a few people who have experienced this. Have you tried it with the foam tips? That may help.

Maybe the canal phones are too deep, causing pressure, or irritating the inner ear. Are you also dizzy or just nauseous? Blockage of the inner ear (as well as viral infection) can cause dizziness or nausea. Do a google search for semi circular canals or Labyrinthitis.

A couple days later, I had a really bad sinus infection...once that cleared up the nausea went away...
