Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. I just got the Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5 Pro, and I'm extremely impressed. Of course, I'm coming off the Apple In-Ear Headphones, so that's quite a jump in quality.
I've read that people are taking out the memory wire (that moldable 2 inches of cord coming out of the 'phones) to make them a little more manageable. I must admit, they're pretty unwieldy once you bend that wire the way you want it. So I'm faced with three options: mold the memory wire and only use the big metal case for the 'phones, bend the wire back every time so as to make them fit in something flatter while also risking breaking the wire, or remove the wire altogether.
It looks like I can use a razor to cut through the clear shield, then use a wire cutter or something to cut the metal wire. Can someone who's done this before give me their method?
Thanks!
