pauses in playlists?

hello list,
i've a mixing problem with playlists on my ipod.

first i've imported a mix-cd to itunes.
when i played it, there were pauses between the tracks. so i've changed the settings to cross-fade 2 seconds. works fine.
but when i played the new tracks on my ipod and listened to the playlist, i still had the 0.5 second paused between the tracks.
did someone experienced this?

This is common; it is a side-effect of the way mp3s work, and thus far, Apple has not developed a way for the iPod to deal with it. You'll have to put up with the gap for now. :)
