first off, i use windows xp and i use a program called xilisoft and videora ipod converter to convert most of my avi and divx movies. the only problem is that the final product gives me a video that has lagging audio. the person begins speaking for almost a second and then the audio comes in. ne reason why this would happen? and more importantly, wut can i do to fix it?

Set the framerate to '29.97' instead of 'Input' in the Videora profile you are using.
Now, assuming the original .avi has audio that is in sync, your output mp4 should also be in sync..
Tell the audio to get off it's butt and keep up with the rest of us. Then try QT Pro, which always solves my audio sync issues when and if videora has them.

thanx a lot for your help guys, changing the framerate to 29.97 seemed to have fixed the problem.
