Just Sent In A Repair Request:HELP

i got the 30 gig Ipod....when every i play something my battery dies with in 15-20 mins.....so the email said they would send me a box to send it to them....to fix i guess...and in the email it said the would send me a Used or a New ipod back.....if i payed all that money for a Ipod...all i get is a USED one? or do they just put that..but really send u a new 1? is there anything else i could do because am going to be really mad if i get a Used ipod....have anyone been thur this?....:confused:

if you do get a used iPod, you would not be able to notice it... they refurbish it with used parts, but the exterior will be perfectly new.

How long have you had the iPod? Was it a brand new iPod when you sent it back to Apple or was it used? If used, it is reasonable to receive a refurbished replacement. If it was brand new (within 30 days) I would politely request a new replacement.

Actually, in my opinion it is not...
The quality control imposed on refurbishments is of much higher standards than it is on new parts, the parts must have been examined when they were removed from the broken iPod to determine the defect and such

Just got the box to send my ipod back......called DHL they are going to pick it up by 7 Tonight....so i hope they will get it by Tomorrow or the Next Day...they might overnight it...i dont know tho...i will see....now all i guess i do is wait and see what i get back....and see how long it take...

A new 4g or the new 5g? From what I heard on the phone it sounded as though I would be getting the 5g, the guy said "new model" Of course that doesn't sound right as there is no more hp branded ipods being sold.
