sound quality of cd-ib100 with avic-n1

Hi, I have just recently installed my avic-n1 with the cd-ib100 adaptor for my nano. I am just wondering if the sound quality of your units are kind of 'echoy' when playing off ipod. It seems that the voice is kind of buried under the music and kind of hard to heard. The sound quality is way better when im playing a cd off the avic itself. I've tried playing around with the options and eq when listening from the ipod but of no help. Any suggestions?
