Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. I'll be getting one of the new 30GB Video iPod's for Christmas, and I want to integrate it into my Alpine 9847. I do not want to use an FM Transmitter, because of poor sound quality, and I don't want to use the Alpine interface for poor scrolling and limitated playlist viewing. I guess the best solution for me is using the auxiliary input. Just wanted to make sure I'm getting everything I need to make sure it sounds the best.

Alpine KCA-121B to plug into the back of my Alpine 9847

Monster iCable for iPod to plug into the KCA-121B

Belkin Auto Kit with Dock Connector to be plugged into the cig lighter, with headphone jack from Monster iCable, and iPod connected to Dock Connector.

What I want is near CD sound quality, while iPod charges. Is this all I need? Thanks alot!

that's pretty much the setup i have in my car, and it sounds pretty good. beware of wire placement, as you don't want an annoying background hiss.

I use blitsafe and the sound quality is excellent. No buzzing or distortion whatsoever.
