I've seen it used inside a building where there is no outside FM reception at all and it worked great but what about outside? Is it broken up at all or crisp and steady? Thanks. Just got my G5 today. This thing is tight!

I noticed that the iTrip's have this little squarish connector thing hanging down right next to the stereo jack,... what is that? I dont have a hole for it ontop of my G5. Griffen's site said it works with mine but I,... am I missing something?

no, I dont think the iTrip you purchased will work for the 5G iPod you have. it sounds like you have an older iTrip which requires the extended headphone port that 4th Gen iPods had.

Oh,... I didnt buy it yet. Just wondering about it. I guess that isn't the iTrip I am looking for then. So,... I swear the manufactures sites sais G5. I'll hve to check again. But overall, how do they do? Good or cheesy?
There is a new iTrip for 5Gs and nanos that plugs on the bottom using the dock connector. My iTrip works awsome, at first the 'guy' at the Apple store told me it didnt work well in the Miami area because there were too many stations, but it works perfect.
