Fingerprints are easy to get off... Im sure finger prints showup on your cell phone, PSP, and other electronics, you just dont notice. Anyways, if youre just worried about fingerprints, im pretty sure the Agent18 shows em too. You might consider a fabric based or skin case instead of a plastic.

They've heard from the agent 18 nano case, which is probably built similar to the Videoshield.

I also would like input on its performance for a black iPod, but I feel like ordering it now because of the 40% off code. Does anyone know if it will expire?

Got my tracking number too ... I'll take the pictures of the black 5G iPod in this case providing I receive my replacement iPod soon.

Personalized iPods are said to take 2-3 weeks once received for you to receive the replacement. They received mine on the 15th, processed a replacement order on the 16th, so 2 weeks would have been today or yesterday, depending on how you look at it.

Providing I receive my iPod and Agent18 case in a timely fashion and there aren't 1000's of other pictures, I'll defiently take some pictures for you guys to see.

I'll hopefully have my Invisible Shield by then too ... so ill take pictures with it all on. Looks like Tunefilm changed their release date again ... bummer, was interested in that stuff...

im in almost the EXACT same boat as u...sent my personalized 30gb black in on the 14th, processed and ordered on the 15th so im hoping they atleast let me kno when ill get it back by next week, i fnothing else. i ordered my agent18 case last wednesday, havent received shipping info yet tho - when did u order urs and when did u get ur info?

aaaa, i guess the problem is that i ordered on the 23rd...i shud ave gone with my first instinct and orderd the A18 that i was waiting for to begin with, but while waiting i got distracted by waiting for pdairs aluminum cases which i eventually realized i wasnt comfy with (tabs sticking out, ruined appearance)
o well, hopefully they'll ship mine tomorrow - im in no rush tho, cuz my ipod isnt due to get back from apple til tuesday (they say 2-3weeks for engraved pods, and i will hold them to it) so as long as i get it by then, ill b fine. i also got a martins fields that i want mainly for the entire front (espcially the clickwheel tho)

Anyway, I ordered my Agent18 case on November 21st, and I got the tracking information today a little more than 3 hours ago. Estimated delivery is December 6th ... I wish it were sooner, but I guess it doesn't really matter considering I don't even have my iPod right now. Hope this helps.

Apple better hurry the hell up! Haha.

I placed my order on 11/22/05. I used the 40%off coupon, and opted for the 2nd day air via UPS for the additional $14.95.
I recieved the e-mail confirmation saying it was shipped as of 8:16pm (central) last night, the 30th. As of right now, tracking on UPS says I should get it by this friday.

Note: I use a yahoo e-mail account and the Agent 18 shipping confirmation was sent to my "BULK MAIL" folder, NOT my inbox. Check to make sure it wasnt sent to your spam folder because my original order confirmation was correctly placed in my inbox.

I agree...it takes a lot to get me upset but I specifically told them I would be out of town for 2 weeks and that I wanted it before I left and they emailed back with a "you will have no problem getting it by then"...I emailed them again last night and they sent an auto-response that included this:

When I received the Agent18 shield for my nano, I had a similar question about a piece of light plastic film that was about the size of the nano's screen. I contacted Agent18 and they replied that it was not intended as a screen protection. I suppose you could use it that way, but I don't think it is necessary and it only traps air bubbles and causes a rainbox effect.

My video shield is scheduled for delivery on Dec 6. I pre-ordered it on 11/9/05. I have a black 60GB iPod with video so I am also interested in seeing any photos of what the black iPod videos look like with the case on.

Anyway it is a clear case, and my iPod is white, so pictures might not turn out.

It is just 2 hard plastic parts that snap together. Looks just like the older cases. Offers protection from scratches, but not from dropping or hitting agaist something if it's in you pocket.

just upload them to a site like imageshack.us and paste the link to the image here. and yea i think itll protect from dropping, but to me "protecting" it is leaving the ipod scratchless. if you drop it with the videoshield on the case might screw up but your ipod is fine (worked for my 4G :p)

Pros:
Very sleek
Looks good over black iPod
Fits nicely, pops on easily
Doesn't add bulk to 30 gig iPod

Cons:
Doesn't protect bottom where USB connects
Will probably break if dropped

Agree with the above. Looks good on black or white. Certainly don't want to test this case against dropping! I may get another, more substantial case for working outside where it could get a pretty good bang in my pocket. I put a film PDA screen protector over the screen before putting on the Agent 18. Also cut out a square piece of the original Apple film protector to put over the click wheel. I had left the original plastic from the factory on until today, so the iPod is still free of any scratches.

Here are some pics of my white iPod! I really love the case, it keeps the ipod sleek and yet still offers protection from smudging and scratches. And I don't know if someone pointed this out yet, yes you can use angle headphone plugs, not just the straight plugs that apple provides.

I got this case so I could take the PDA protector off...does anything cover the screen with this case? My PDA protector is not totally clear and I hate knowing I am not seeing the screen the way it was meant to be...btw, what time of day have people received the tracking numbers? I still have not received anything even though agent18 has stated "all preorders will be shipped today" (Wednesday actually)...is ordering on 11/24 not a preorder for some reason?

My guess is I will not see my case for another 2 weeks. UPS lost my case. It was shipped from Los Angeles to Los Angeles, you have to try to lose a package in that short of a distance.

So I am just starting the claim process. I ordered 3 weeks ago and now I have to wait weeks more, thanks UPS.

No, the area where the Apple logo goes is clear, not frosted, but there is plastic. Same thing with the screen.

I got my case today and I love it. Nice, tight fit and it allows the beauty of the iPod to show. I definitely recommend ordering it before Agent 18 discontinues the 40% off coupon.

I'm glad that everyone is pretty much happy with their A18 case. I ordered mine three days ago and the 40% coupon was still active but their shipping was a bit ridiculous so I went with Ground. I'll prob get mine in two weeks :(

no, UPS Ground is cheaper and supposedly takes 7-10 days depending on how far removed you are from the shipper source. 3 day select I believe is one step up from regular UPS Ground.

I have you all beat. I ordered 3RD DAY shipping on NOVEMBER 14TH and have yet to receive a thing. I'm on the east coast. I e-mailed them three times and only got a response for one of them. I'm about to ask for my money back. What's the point in preordering and 3rd day shipping if you get it after everyone else?

I ordered mine on Nov 18 and my account STILL states "Processing", but my credit card has been billed (and was done so very shortly after placing my order). I used the cheapest shipping and live on the westcoast in Canada. Why Preorder with Agent18???

I hope they have sent my package and just havent updated my account, i think someone else may have mentioned that.

Anyway, kinda dissapointed in Agent18's non response to this. Its a shame because every other internet purchase ive made was quick and painless.

I thought of canceling too. If I ever see the case in a store, I'll just purchase it there and dispute the charge with the CC company.

I don't blame them entirely. When the video iPod first came out in early november, shouldn't companies have scrambled to release the cases within a week or two?

Well i ordered the day they allowed preorders, getting it tomorrow regular shipping, east coast... i think you should be a little more patient, you may have more time to wait :)

For me the 40% off makes it worth the wait.

My Ipod has been wrapped in plastic and packing tape since day 1...:)

I don't even know what it looks like without the plastic on it! Looking forward to getting the case.

I ordered on Nov. 17th with OVERNIGHT shipping and my order is still "processing"...wtf. I live in Toronto, so I would assume some delays, but three weeks? Pretty lame.

I ordered a Moshi iPouch via ebay and that package arrived about two weeks which came from Taiwan...HALFWAY around the world. It probably arrived by boat and it was still faster than overnight shipping. I wonder if it's some horse and carriage that's making the delivery...it must be.

I get home and it is on my doorstep. so chalk another up to one that was delivered with no tracking number, and "processing" on the web order. I ordered 3 day ups.

I bought a microfilter cloth to clean up the iPod before putting it in. I do notice where there's little smudges when the case touches the device, but it isn't anything distracting on a white.

that wont work, the ipod is too wide with the skins on so i had to take mine off. but its still protected because i have the wrapper that it came in under the case.

cool. What I'm most concerned about is watching movies. On my Clickshield for my 4Gen, it didn't matter that the screen was a little less visible, because I wasn't watching movies on it. Time will tell.

Just a heads up for those still waiting on shipments... I placed my order today, 12/5/05 with 2 day shipping and I already have a tracking number and it is on the way, same day. If old orders haven't indicated they were shiped and you don't get product soon then something has happened because clearly they are not sold out.

I received my Agent 18 last night. I couldn't be happier with it. I had an Isee clear case for my 4g that did the job, but added a lot of bulk. I was concerned about the Agent 18 adding bulk to my 5G. I didn't have to worry at all. The Agent 18 is extremely low profile. It hardly adds anything to the Ipod. Best of all, it fits with my Martin Fields protector in place. I was concerned I might have to take it off.

I'm abandoning my plans to try other 5G cases as they come out. I'm very happy with the Agent 18.

I just received my Agent 18 case this afternoon.

I couldn't be more pleased with it.

As an earlier poster mentioned, it is very low profile. It fits my 60 GB video iPod perfectly.

At first, I was concerned that it might be difficult to remove. But, inserting a coin into the slot located on the upper left corner of the iPod does the trick with just a slight twist.

My Etymotics ER-4P right angle earphones fit through the case without a problem. And, I really like the open access to the bottom port for an easy connection with many accessories.

I hate for my first post to be negative, but my A18 case for the 60G will not fit with the invisible shield installed. I installed the front and back of the IS last week and the A18 will not close completely. I will NEVER EVER remove the IS becaues it's been (and I expect it to continue to be) absolutely amazing. So I've now got an 60G A18 on my hands that is of no use to me. Any takers?

what makes these cases so low profile and so protective is how form fitting they are, therefore it is not suprising that even the thin films many are using on their iPods these days make the case impossible to close.

My coworker that researched which case to get for his Nano had read that the Agent18 clear cases....because of their design...has a thin...but noticeable line that goes right down the middle of the case.

For those that have purchased the Agent18 VideoShield.....is there such a line there?

I primarily use my 60GB Video iPod to view videos....and wouldn't want such a line getting in the way of the screen.

Also....its hard to tell on Agent18s web page...but I am guessing that the entire face of the iPod is covered ( including the screen itself ). Is that right?

There is no line on the Videoshield screen, unlike the nano's. There is a molding line that stretches (vertically) the short distance from the bottom of the screen to the top of the clickwheel.

I was looking at another post with pictures of what I am assuming is the Agent18 Videoshield ( the one titled "Just received Agent 18 Case, Pics Inside" by black5gipod )

When you look at the 1st picture, it looks like there is either an indentation that goes over the screen itself. I can't tell if the screen protector is slightly recessed but still covering the video screen....or if the Agent18 Videoshield doesn't have any type of cover or protection over the screen itself.

This is a stupid question....but does the Agent18 VideoShield completely cover and protect the screen?

Yes.

The Agent 18 VideoShield provides complete coverage and protection of the screen. And, the view through the case is clear as a bell!

I'm very impressed with my Agent 18 case.
