View Full Version : Dead iPod

Ok, I didn't touch my iPod for about 2 days and it was left uncharged (but with plenty of battery life left). When I picked it up today, I get the apple logo, followed by a pic of a unhappy iPod with a message telling me to go to apple.com/support/ipod. After that, the thing just died.

It isn't responding to being hooked up to the charger, and my computer and iTunes aren't recognizing it, so I can't even try to restore it.

I'm gonna go to a Apple store tomorrow if the problem doesn't correct itself somehow. Has anyone had this problem before or know how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Sounds like your hard drive is messed up. Take it to Apple

Now my ipod is working now. I plugged it into the a/c adapter for an hour then it booted up fully charged. After that, it was giving me problems playing music, then I restored it and everything is working fine. I really don't know why it died in the first place and gave me that sad iPod picture. But thank you for your advice.
