Bracketron Mobile Device Docking Kit
Found this guy in Best Buy for $11 in black. It is a vent mount with optional screws/plates for a hard mount, and is compatible with different bezel mounts. Also includes a swivel base (intended for hard mount only).
There are a lot of pieces included in this kit, swivel mount, solid mount, cell phone clip, 3m tape. After removing the two rubber pieces from the center of the mount, my 30 gig video clicked in very nicely and securely. It has a small ledge on one side to not allow the ipod to drop out. A small piece of velvet on the back would be beneficial.
You cannot use the swivel mount with the air vent plate without modification. A simple cutting blade (i have a baby hacksaw) and you cut a plastic tab off the vent mount, allowing you to use the 3m tape (and some light adhesive for insurance) to attach the vent mount plate to the swivel plate. After that, everything bolts together and it clips right into the vent. Even includes a swing down brace to add further stability to the air vent mount.
Drove around last night with a few music videos, etc. Works perfect. I can tilt it towards me when im in the car alone, and center it for passengers.
Can be found in the car audio section. Cant beat it for $11.
