So what's the JVC adapter like?

Is it usable? Can I really put the iPod in the glove box and not have to touch it? I browse my music by genre on the iPod, would this still be possible?

I hear it's not possible to browse the iPod with the Sony adapter, and the Clarion solution (their cheaper one) is restricted to six playlists. I'd rather not have an Alpine or Pioneer as I don't like brushed aluminium. So does that leave any other brands to consider apart from JVC?

It does not appear to be publicly available yet.

I spoke with Crutchfield and they only have the model number and msrp (99.99) No other info on release date or anything else.

I have also sent email to the customer support email address at jvc.com. No word back yet.
